When you have the opportunity to say something genuine, something true, something nice, say the things.

When you have the opportunity to let people know you appreciate them, to let people know you are grateful for them, or to let people know they made your day, say the things.

When you have the opportunity to share joy, speak truth, and let people know that hope is always an option, say the things.

When you have the opportunity to build people up, to cheer people on, to let people know they are heavy on your heart, say the things.

When you have the opportunity to tell people you love them, to share how much they add to your happiness, how much you treasure them, say the things.

The enemy will try to say the things too…the other things that bring on negativity, shame, and resentment. Sometimes those things are said by others to make us feel less than; sometimes they are said to ourselves as we battle our own hearts and minds.

Today, some of us might be enjoying all our lives have to offer in this moment and time and some of us might be struggling to remember the goodness of God and some of us might be somewhere in between.  But, no matter happens in our today or in our tomorrow, I pray that we are all be able to bless others as well as receive the blessings in saying the things.

When you have the opportunity, say the things. Always say the things.

“Kind words are like honey—sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.” Proverbs 16:24 (NLT)
